The Hungarian-Italian Restaurant Rustico was opened in the fall of 2007 in the most famous pedestrian street of the city center. It takes less than a 5 minutes walk from the Central Market Hall and about 10-15 minutes from the major downtown hotels. We can accommodate about 75 persons in the air-conditioned inner room and an additional 80 persons on the roofed terracce.
It's not only the rustic furnishing that invokes the most beautiful and oldest Hungarian traditions, but also the dishes and meals. On the menu you can find particular home made dishes prepared according old recepies, as well as dishes made of fine mangalica pork or the famous Hungarian grey cattle and dishes of the sheppards from the Great Plain.
In case you prefer Italian food, choose from the pastry specialtities made of original ingredients or one of the 25 pizzas in three different sizes.
Beside the highlights of the Hungarian and Italian cuisine you can also taste the best wines of both countries or the unique brandies and spirits rarely available in other places in Hungary.
The serveral objects and articles collected from the various regions of the country displayed in the restaurant recall the past and create an ambiance that will surely contribute to your culinary enjoyment. This unique and rare combination will offer you a cultural and gastronomic experience, so that you will see the major difference between "tourist and guest" as well as "cliché" and "genuine" Hungarian.
