The VAM Design Collection
Permanent exhibition, open every day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Miklós VINCZE has begun the collection of items back in 1989, and nowadays there are more than 130 items on display. The collection displays the development of human knowledge through examples from art nouveau, bauhaus, modern and high-tech objects and contemporary organic style.
Each item in the collection is of special importance from the time of its origin, their overall value is well into 6 digits in EURO. The items were purchased through several chanels, like auctions, public collections and from private sales.
This is a unique presentation of the arts of 120 years of human history. It serves both as a resource and as an inspiration for those interested in arts. The collection comprises the works of some well-known artists, for instance: Frank Lloyd Wright, Charles R. Mackintosh, Breuer Marcel, Le Corbusier, Charles Eames, Philippe Starck. Borek Sipek, Philippe Starck, Achille Castiglioni, Ron Arad, Memphis.
CIMBORA Labyrinth Playhouse
Open every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
CIMBORA Labyrinth is more than a simple playhouse. We offer the following services:
- high-quality learn-through-experience games, conducted by professionals (creative, art games, from ancient to modern times. E.g. archeology from Egyptian tomb, building of Greek ship, making a giant puzzle, painting, drawing, playing with ancient board games).
- Child supervision is available from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- the games are conducted by professional artists, musicians, teachers.
- literature, history and art programs
- live programs with well-known musicians and artists
- hot lunch is included in the entrance fee
